Welcome

The state of our nervous system guides the thoughts we think, our perspective of the world, our decisions and actions in life - and often, dysregulation causes unhelpful stories, confusion, narratives, and ultimately outward behavior and challenges that don’t align with our values.

We’re welcoming a new paradigm where understanding your unique system, responses, and needs enriches relationships and cultivates the world we hope to create.

In reconnecting with the emotions, sensations we may have unknowingly shut down or became overwhelmed by along the way - we welcome the “being with” that can lead us to our richest lives.

About

I am passionate about this work that deepens connection to ourselves, others, and the rhythms that surround us while getting to the simplicity, humor, and lightness of life. My role is to walk alongside you while navigating challenges, inevitable blocks that arise and moving toward desires.

I believe you are the expert on what you and your loved ones need and I am versed in developmental/human insights that can support - and the process unfolds through shared space.

Right relationship can provide the security needed to go within, and from there we have unlimited potential to transform the relationship with ourselves, connection to God of our understanding, and everyone around us as a result.

My training consists of extension DIRFloortime (Fellows Level), Sensory Integration, Trauma healing with Bessel van der Kolk, Therapeutic Listening, Safe and Sound Protocol/Polyvagal Theory, Attachment-Centered Play Therapy, ADHD Treatment Certification, Trauma-Informed Sensory Motor, Primitive Reflex Integration, Dialectical Behavioral Training, CPTSD healing, and more along with extensive and ongoing mentorship. I believe practitioners work best when actively engaged in our own therapy, personal development and with accountability partners in both 1:1 and group settings and that is something I take seriously myself.

Outside of the studio? I love going outside just to breathe, country music driving around northern Michigan, my two tiny rescue chihuahua mixes, understated everything, walking in the rain, spontaneous dancing, walking/biking/skiing northern Michigan, road trips, people who are both incredibly light and incredibly deep, farmers markets, not staying up late, and that first sip of hot local coffee.

I am ever-attempting to - as Tara Brach says - “go half as fast to experience twice as much.”

I work with evolving kids and adults in our Petoskey, Michigan studio along with around the world online. I also lead programs and courses, mentor groups of child educators and professionals across the globe, and create content to support the collective in accessible-as-possible ways most often on Instagram @thrivinglittles. If you’re called to work 1:1, email hello@thrivinglittles.com or let’s connect.
